at Santa Fe Cafe, there's a fence between you and the audience, which helps enhance the intimacy for sure.


also the stage is so narrow that you all have to set up next to each other, like the frontline of an army.


this show was super fun though




in mid-August-ish we went to Paul A Rosales (aka Wonder Wheel)'s house to record some songs for our 7" on Fire Talk (out in November!!!). He lives at the top of this huge hill in Orange, CA, and from it you can see basically all of North Orange County. You can see Disneyland, Angel Stadium, and the Honda Center (where the Ducks play) all in one view! What more do you need??? Well, a beach view would be nice, but you can't have it all I guess.

Last Thursday (9/23/10)

i stayed up till 4 recording in my garage and mixing in my room. It was a song for a solo project of mine that is starting to crystallize. I'm thinking of calling it Smoothie. Here was my setup:

the last of the tour pics

got some stray rolls of film developed recently, and thus unearthed the last of the pics from this summer's west coast tour. Here they are, the bookend dates of the tour:


Roman Candles' setup, just before the tour kickoff at Acrobatics Everyday, UCI, started.


It was also the cd release of Mermels' "Thizzneyland" on Ultravivid Recordings. There he is in all his glory!

Then everybody moved to the portable across the hall to watch Roman Candles.


Then a bunch of stuff happened that I didn't capture on film. Namely, Dash Jacket played a set, and I debuted my dress. This is 60 Watt Kid setting up.
